Shippo Partners With Weebly to Simplify Shipping for 200,000 eCommerce Merchants

Shippo is proud to announce its partnership with Weebly for the release of its new e-commerce App Center. The App Center is a part of a massive rebranding & overhaul of Weebly’s platform, now called Carbon. Shippo is one of the apps handpicked by Weebly to be included in its new effort to provide over 200,000 Weebly sellers the ultimate business toolkit. Shippo’s API is customized for the app store, so Weebly entrepreneurs now have access to a limited number of curated, diverse apps meant to help them address their daily business challenges in areas like shipping, visual web design, SEO, and shopper engagement. The features of Carbon give merchants more power to enhance their e-commerce stores and the necessary processes for running their business.

Shippo is now available as an app for merchants to add to their Weebly admin through a simple one-click integration. Connecting their stores with the customized shipping app enables them to create & print labels quickly. They do this via a straightforward widget that lives within the Weebly admin. The essentials of the user interface, namely, rate retrieval & comparison, package tracking, and the labels themselves, are displayed within Weebly. Merchants create domestic and international labels in just three to four steps with over 14 different carriers, including USPS, FedEx, and UPS.

Merchants also have access to heavily discounted USPS and international shipping prices; they can save up to $6 per USPS Priority Mail label and up to $3 on heavier USPS First Class mail. Shippo provides these store owners with a seamless, user-friendly solution to the challenge of keeping costs down and eliminating manual processes to create labels. Stores no longer need to go to the Post Office or FedEx Store to create their labels; labels are created from the comfort of a personal computer. Features include batch label-creation, customer email notifications with tracking, and automated customs forms.


Shippo participated in a beta launch for the App Center over the last several weeks with a select number of merchants. One new Weebly customer stated that connecting her store with the app cured her of a longstanding headache: “Shipping has been one of the most time-consuming parts of running our business. After discovering the Weebly App Center, my life got so much easier. [Shippo’s] saved me money and I have more time to focus on the fun stuff!”

Shippo’s API is a technology to connect global e-commerce and shipping carriers, matching supply & demand in the most optimal way. It now supports merchants shipping across 200 service levels in 20 different countries including the U.S., Canada, the UK, France, Germany, and Japan. Many of these shippers come from eight e-commerce platform partners, Weebly being the newest addition. Other users of the Shippo API include Shyp, Mercari, and GoDaddy Online Store merchants.
