Trello Package Tracking Powered by Shippo
We’re excited to announce that Shippo has been chosen by Trello to power the Package Tracking Power-Up functionality.
Anyone using the Package Tracking Power-Up can enter a tracking number from over 15 domestic and international carriers such as USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL to follow shipment’s progress and find historical information right from the Trello card without having to go to the carrier’s website.

When Trello launched the package tracking functionality last year, they built each carrier integration themselves. However, they quickly realized the challenges of owning each carrier integration. They made the decision to migrate the functionality to a dedicated shipping API and chose Shippo. There were a number of reasons Trello picked Shippo’s tracking API. The ability to implement webhooks, which push updates about shipments to their system as soon as carriers update status, was one of the most compelling factors. Shippo’s webhooks eliminate the need to keep polling carriers for shipment status updates.
