UPS® Peak Surcharges: What Online Sellers Need To Know
We’ve finally entered the time of year when Americans watch the leaves begin to fall and their favorite football teams break their hearts. We’ve also entered the peak season for the shipping industry which means UPS peak season surcharges will be applied to accommodate for the uptick in activity this time of the year.
Peak Season surcharges in the shipping industry are nothing new and have actually been in place for years.
This year’s UPS Peak Surcharges will last from October 3, 2021 to January 22, 2022 and help offset UPS’s increased costs during the holidays and through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The good news is that for sellers who opened their UPS account on Shippo, these surcharges won’t apply to them.
UPS provides logistics services to merchants on Shippo at competitive rates that include deep discounts of up to 55% off on UPS® Ground shipments, up to 69% for UPS 2nd Day Air® service, and up to 86% off International services*.
