UPS® has announced its holiday shipping schedule, but chief among the dates are the deadlines for shipping in time for Christmas across North America.

The UPS® Christmas shipping deadlines when using UPS® Ground will depend on where you’re shipping to and from. 

For example, let’s say you’re shipping out of Los Angeles to San Francisco, California. When you calculate the estimated shipping time from UPS directly, you’ll see that packages are estimated to stay two days in transit when shipping between these two cities.

If this holds true during the month of December, then the last day to ship in time for Christmas between these two cities would be December 22, 2021. 

However, if you’re shipping from Los Angeles to New York City via UPS® Ground shipping, packages are estimated to take four days in transit. This would make your Christmas shipping deadline December 20, 2021.

UPS® Ground shipments normally take 1-5 business days to arrive at their destination.

One major aspect to note is that Christmas shipping is not entirely normal. The surge in shipments could add to additional transit times for certain orders. Other factors such as unpredictable weather could also cause shipments to be delayed.
