Shippo Grows In Western Europe Through Seven New Carrier Partnerships

Following on yesterday’s big news about the launch of Shippo for Platforms – which directly integrates our full shipping capabilities into the existing experience for leading e-commerce platform providers – today we’re excited to announce seven new international carrier partnerships with Colissimo, Correos, DPD DE, DPD UK, Hermes UK (now Evri), Poste Italiane, and Mondial Relay. These relationships enable us to offer new service availability in France and Italy, plus expanded service in the UK, Germany, and Spain, further opening up the reach of our e-commerce merchants to a broader international customer base.

With these new additions to our existing network of 85+ carriers, our platform partners can now offer expanded carrier options to ensure their merchants have a wide variety of choices for domestic and international shipping – all from the convenience of their native platform. The new carriers deliver even more options to ship domestically in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, and augments the existing service area offered through our ongoing partnership with Royal Mail in the UK.

Why These Partnerships Matters – Now

Parcel volume across 13 of the world’s major markets exceeded 131 billion packages in 2020 – and that number is expected to 2X by 2026. Shippo’s expansion across Western Europe opens up a nearly $500 billion e-commerce market for businesses looking to scale internationally.

Building on an already robust partner ecosystem, the announcement of these new partnerships is just the beginning of Shippo’s international growth, as we plan to expand service into additional European markets, including The Netherlands and Ireland, later this year. Shippo will also extend our existing carrier relationships to make them available for all 120,000+ Shippo merchants.
