Story: "I’m obsessed with small details and the idea of bringing something old back to its former glory," says Eric Shoemaker, co-founder of Lane Russell. Eric and his wife Amanda discovered their passions for vintage Volkswagens about a decade ago. Mutual interest in photography, visual design, tinkering, art, and community drove them to start Lane Russell.
After Eric received his first 1967 Volkswagen from his grandfather, he quickly fell head over heels for the car and all that was required to maintain it. He discovered a love for working with tangible objects and his hands. This love quickly turned into an obsession (a healthy one!). Eric and Amanda spent time traveling and meeting more and more people in the quirky VW community and ran a blog called 1967beetle.com, writing tons of content on the community and the cars. Their dive into the world of the VW made them realize the need for restoration and parts specialists, so Lane Russell was born!
Lane Russell is a family-owned business based in Austin, Texas focused on providing quality parts & accessories for VWs of all kinds. Eric & Amanda pride themselves on their "keen eye for detail and an appreciation for hands-on craftsmanship" that the VW community shares.
