USPS First Class Package Price Increase on Aug 28th
On August 28th, 2016, the USPS will be increasing the price of First Class domestic packages weighing 1oz, 2oz, and 3oz.
Shipments from 1oz to 3 oz will now cost $2.60, the same as retail, versus the previous cost of $2.45 per package. Rates for all other ounces will remain the same.
Despite this increase in price, USPS First Class package services are still the most cost effective way to ship lightweight, small items such as t-shirts, stickers, or craft, within the US.
Restriction and requirements for USPS First Class domestic packages:
- Max weight: 15.99 oz
- Minimum dimensions: 6 inches length, 3 inches width, 1/4 inches thick
- Maximum dimensions: 34 inches length, 17 inches width, 17 inches thick
