On August 28th, 2016, the USPS will be increasing the price of First Class domestic packages weighing 1oz, 2oz, and 3oz.

Shipments from 1oz to 3 oz will now cost $2.60, the same as retail, versus the previous cost of $2.45 per package. Rates for all other ounces will remain the same.

Restriction and requirements for USPS First Class domestic packages:

  • Max weight: 15.99 oz
  • Minimum dimensions: 6 inches length, 3 inches width, 1/4 inches thick
  • Maximum dimensions: 34 inches length, 17 inches width, 17 inches thick

With Shippo, you can compare rates and estimated delivery times across various USPS service levels side-by-side. Or add multiple different carriers to see more rates and service level options.
