Dispatch

What Does Dispatch Mean In Shipping?

This is the part of the fulfillment process when products are packed and are ready to be shipped. Often times customers may receive updates on their tracking notifications saying there order has been dispatched. This simply means that the product they ordered has been packed, labeled, invoiced by the business (aka you) and then given to the delivery company handling the shipment. The carrier handling the actual transportation may have some additional steps to take before sending the product to the customer. The stage in the delivery process where orders have been packed but not yet shipped is Dispatch.
